Welcome to Homestead PTA!

Hello Homestead Family!

Welcome back to another school year. The Homestead PTA is here to partner with the Parents, Teachers, Staff, and our Students to give them the best educational experience we can. We are here to provide whatever support we can to make the school a better place for everyone. Through your generosity, we have been able to provide a lot for the students.  Last year, we brought some exciting new things to Homestead, adding to the wonderful events we were already sponsoring. New last year we introduced a family comedy night put on by a local comedy troupe, held our first ever Mother/Son event, introduced a PTA Facebook page, and hosted a 1st Grade kick-off event , to name a few. We look to build on last year to make this year even better. Be on the lookout for some new events we hope to sponsor this year!  You can make a difference by BEING INVOLVED.  Be involved with your children in their school experience. Be involved in the classroom.  Be involved in the PTA. Become a member, attend and support events, sign up for our communication avenues — Virtual Backpack, Facebook, and our PTA website. Hopefully you came to see some of what the PTA has to offer at Preview Night, and see all of the ways to be involved that are included in this welcome back packet.  Look to volunteer whenever and however you can.

By working together as Parents, Teachers, Staff, and Students, we can make this year an unbelievable one for all.

Jim Miller
2012-2013 PTA President
