Hospitality

The hospitality committee's hope is to create a sense of warmth and belonging. We provide this specifically through food, beverages and smiles.

The hospitality committee is the official host of the general PTA. Our goal is to establish an approachable and friendly atmosphere at PTA meetings and other school functions.

We will also strive to make the Homestead staff feel appreciated and cared for. We will do this by providing snacks and refreshments throughout the school year.

Volunteers:

Do you love to bake, cook or shop for food at the store? Then the Hospitality Committee is for you!

As a committee member you will provide snacks and beverages for various school functions. You can choose to donate once or donate multiple times. The Committee Chair will contact you via email prior to each upcoming date.

Donations are dropped off by you at the school in either the front office or at the event location. Occasionally volunteers may be asked to assist with setup or cleanup.

Committee Chair Responsibilities:

The Committee Chair is responsible for coordinating the volunteers to bake, cook or purchase food for a specific school date/event.

The Hospitality Chair will also partner with other PTA Committees Chairs to discuss and assist when refreshments are needed..

Program Ideas:

Offer a classroom prize to the classroom that has the most parents present at each PTA meeting.

Create welcome bags at various PTA functions welcoming new people.

Decorate events with common theme to show a cohesive view

Have a new member welcome at events and meetings welcoming new participants and showing them how to get involved.
